Often Companies believe that Executive Search Firms "fill" orders.
For example, a company will have an "Open" position for some reason - and that can lead their internal Talent Acquisition team , or CHRO , to reach out to a Search Firm, discuss the position with a Partner in the Firm.. agree upon a Fee that will be charged-
This FEE can be somewhere between 25%-35% of the positions "all in" compensation:
If it is a Sr. level position (these are the ones that Search is needed):
$500K base,
40% bonus,
$200K in equity over a vesting period of 3 - 4 years.
YOU do the math. on the fee.
Once everything is agreed to, an agreement is signed, and then a more junior level team of researchers will go to work combing through LinkedIn for candidates.
Brick Executive Search can work the same way- we can "fill an order" , but, we charge a lesser fee because we are smaller-MUCH SMALLER. However, we have TONS of industry experience- WE KNOW HOW TO DRIVE A P&L WITHIN A COMPANY- because we have done it. So, a company will get more value with us, and the white glove service you find in a boutique.
All of that given, however, we base our revenue projections on a CANDIDATE model. We don't wait for the "order" to come in.
