This one was a complicated, delicate, LONG, search.

The company is a multi billion dollar manufacturer of cut and sew knits for big box companies including: Walmart, Target, Gap, Kohl's, Specialty Companies including ZARA, lululemon, Fabletics, Alo Yoga, MANGO, and so many more.

My client gave me the exclusive search to secure a SVP of "SYNTHETIC TEXTILES" Someone who not only knows everything there is to know about synthetic fabrics, but someone who could also have direct oversight for the build out of a very large mill in Guatemala. FROM THE GROUND UP.

The candidate would need to be able to work with architects on the build out, purchase all the necessary machinery and ultimately hire the workers.

This mill will be completely VERTICAL. The greige yarn will be dyed there (everything from polar fleece to spandex used for leggings)...the yarn will be sewn at the mill into fabric...the fabric will be cut and made into garments .
ALL UNDER ONE ROOF.

And, this product is near shore to the USA, eliminating freight expense and unnecessary time.

I started the search on August 15th , 2024 - 11 MONTHS AGO!
Presented ONE candidate. (I knew he was perfect) - Textile Scientist, has lived and worked in Mexico, BRILLIANT, wife is from Mexico.

Candidate goes through series of successful interviews.

My Korea based client passed this search to their sister company in December of 2024.
I had a brief heart attack and offered to go to Seoul to speak to the Chairmen myself - because we could not LOSE this UNICORN.

Candidate starts the interview process with sister company in January 2025.

Candidate receives GIANT offer letter in March of 2025 with a TBD start date.
I have another mild heart attack. We need a START date.

Client comes back with start date of August 2025.

Candidate tells me has ACCEPTED ANOTHER OFFER.

I call every What's App number I have in Korea of my clients.

Revised offer comes back with IMMEDIATE start date of June 16th
