At first, I have to admit it wasn't easy for me to wrap my head around the " split" concept of a search...It basically means that for ANYONE that touches any part of a search , they get a piece of the commission .

For some strange reason, Cindy and I were working on the same search (something in the CPG Space) Something Cindy IS the expert. It really made no sense that I work the search.

I remember VIVIDLY that Cindy Richards said to me "Babe, I'm taking this search!" She was authoritative, confident, and was doing what was best for the firm!

This allowed me to work on my core competency- and bill what I do best.
